¾cupswarm water
1tspsugar
2tspyeast
3TBSvegetable oil
½tspsalt
2 - 2½cupsflour
For Garlic Butter
¼cupmelted butter
1tspfinely chopped garlic or purée
2tspchopped fresh parsley
pinchsalt
Instructions
In a stand mixer dissolve sugar in water and sprinkle on yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes
Add oil and salt
Using a dough hook, add 1 cup of flour at a time. Reserve the last 1/2 cup of flour for use only if dough is still sticky. Dough should pull away from the sides of the bowl. Don’t add more flour too quickly
Mix in stand mixer for 10 minutes. Dough should be smooth and if you press on the dough it should spring right back
Cover dough in a bowl with plastic wrap. Let rest for 25 minutes
Divide dough into 4 equal parts
On a floured surface roll out dough to 1/4”
On a hot grill, place dough directly on grill.
Cook for 2 minutes, dough will bubble
Flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Dough should have dark grill marks and slight charging
For garlic butter mix all ingredients and brush on the flatbread
