Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies

Being stuck in quarantine doesn’t have to be horrible. These cookies are great to make with kids. Simple enough for the kids to help. They aren’t overly sweet. They are slightly crunchy yet chewy. In my opinion these are by far the best chocolate chip cookie.

Perfect Chocolate Chip cookies

These Chocolate Chip Cookies are perfect. Not too sweet, chocolaty, and the perfect mixture of chewy and crunchy.

  • mixer

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 ½ Cups Flour
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 TBS molasses can substitute maple syrup or honey
  • ¾ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg yolk only
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips


  • preheat oven. to 325°F
  • In a large bowl mix dry ingredients
  • in a mixer, combine sugar, molasses and butter for 3 minutes
  • add vanilla and eggs, mix until combined
  • slowly add dry ingredients mixing on low speed
  • once all combined add chocolate chips until mixed only
  • on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, using a #30 scoop, scoop dough leaving space for spreading.
    (bigger or smaller scoops will effect the cook time of cookies make adjustments)
  • Bake for 15 minutes until edges become slightly golden
  • allow to cool on tray for 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack
  • work in batches if needed
